Dr. Chen, DDS
Education and Experience
I have spent most of my life in Richmond, Virginia, and am delighted to be returning to the community where I grew up! After graduating from Godwin High School, I attended VCU in the Guaranteed Admissions program, earning my BS in Biomedical Engineering summa cum laude. I continued at VCU to obtain my Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.
After dental school, I moved to the Bay Area to join my husband. I completed a General Practice Residency at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where I had the privilege of serving veterans while furthering my training in all aspects of dental care, including oral surgery, temporomandibular disorders, periodontal surgery, and implant placement.
With a strong background in dental research, I am committed to evidence-based practices and staying current with the latest technology and techniques. However, I believe that the heart of excellent dental care lies in building relationships and trust. When you visit me, you’ll always see a cheerful smile, and I’m eager to chat about everything from dental health to the latest restaurant you tried. I strive to create a comfortable, positive dental environment where we can work together on your smile.
Outside the Office
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, exploring anything related to food, watercolor painting, and most of all, spending time with my husband, son, and Goldendoodle!
